Body Rebellion

I have embraced intuitive eating somewhere along my journey. There have been so many stages of dieting, tracking, mindfulness, mindset changes, journaling. I found the one thing- the one- that does not work is dieting.

The whole diet and food industry sets us up for failure.  Diets make us feel as if we are deprived, make our bodies think food is scarce, and drop our metabolisms as a final blow. The food industry uses food engineering on junk and processed foods to make them addictive, in other words, the food’s chemical make-up pings the pleasure center of our brains the way drugs do.

There, most simply explained and completely researchable, is how the diet and the food industry join forces to set us up to fail.

Let’s start a rebellion and take back our bodies! A rebellion of eating real foods when we are hungry, being mindful, using mindset changes over willpower, proper self-care, and really feeling the feels through journaling.

  3. So true. The food industry continues to throw me off course -- albeit a little too often, -- but not enought to keep me there. I find my joy in both the sensible eating and the sensible splurges. Love the inspiration and truths you share in your writing and sharing your journey.
